Harrison Design takes Young's to a new level
Summer 2007
Harrison Design Company is set to undertake five new projects for pub operator and brewer Young’s at sites in the south east of England.
This follows Harrison’s successful redevelopment in recent months of a number of Young’s London-based pubs, including three major new riverside developments in Vauxhall, Battersea and Putney.
The latest projects include refurbishment of the Duke of Devonshire and The Swan pubs in London, The Beaufort in Hendon, The Bell in Fetcham and The Brewers Inn, Wandsworth.
Said Harrison Design Company associate director Kevin Grima: “The work will involve the redesign of new acquisitions as well as the redevelopment of the existing estate.
“The emphasis will be on keeping the inherent tradition behind the brand, but introducing complementary modern elements to attract changing local clientele. It is essential that any design changes we make sit comfortably within the parameters of the remaining development.”
Harrison Design Company, which first made its name in the bar and restaurant sector and masterminded the development of the All Bar One brand in the UK, has seen its services in increasing demand across the whole leisure industry.
The consultancy has just completed a new landmark outlet for Nando’s at The Dome in London, repositioned the ‘Alex’ brand for Mitchells & Butlers in Germany and is working on a new food court at Dublin Airport for international catering firm Alpha Retail.
